In order to sponsor a relative in order to live, study and/or work in Canada, the sponsor must be a Canadian citizen (over the age of 18 years old), a person registered in Canada as an Indian under the “Canadian Indian Act” or a permanent resident of Canada. Additionally, the sponsor must also validate that they are economically self-sufficient.
